Internships and Residencies

Internships
Internships at AVC are one-year positions that provide a high level of general clinical training in preparation for specialty training through residency programs or entry into private practice. Internships are offered in the Veterinary Teaching Hospital through the Department of Companion Animals and Department of Health Management.

Intern programs that are offered include:

  • Rotating internship in small animal medicine and surgery
  • Rotating internship in large animal medicine and surgery

Opportunities for additional experience are available during the internship program in anesthesia, diagnostic imaging, cardiology and other specialties.
