
A promising new medical compound, developed by Dr. Tarek Saleh, Chair of the Department of Biomedical Science, and Dr. Bobby Khan, a past visiting Fulbright scholar to UPEI, has been licensed to Carmel Bioscience in Georgia for pre-clinical testing. Derived from naturally occurring products with proven safety and effectiveness in humans, the compound shows great potential as an anti-inflammatory for use in neurological disorders such as multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease.
