In August AVC piloted a new summer educational program called AVC Summer Academy. This academically-based program was designed for undergraduates interested in vet medicine education. Twenty participants from the four Atlantic provinces, Ontario and Quebec spent five days at AVC, exploring each year of the DVM curriculum. Their enthusiasm was wonderful to see! As well, 200 junior and senior high students attended the popular Dr. Tim Ogilvie AVC Vet Camp during the summer. Campers—and their parents—enjoyed learning firsthand about the daily life of a veterinarian.
